A Craftsmanship Visit | Students from Two Schools Visit HRSTEK and Discover Innovation through Hands-On Robotics
Students from Shanghai Experimental School and Maqiao Vanke Experimental School visited HRSTEK to learn about the development and applications of special-purpose robots through a tour, science outreach, and hands-on robotics activities.
On July 25, 2026, the Lu Qiuhong Master Craftsman Innovation Studio held a summer craftsmanship study visit. Students from Shanghai Experimental School and Maqiao Vanke Experimental School visited HRSTEK to tour the studio and learn about special-purpose robot technology.
During the event, studio members introduced the studio’s development, technical innovation achievements, and the basic process from robot design and development through testing to application. Using special-purpose robots for explosive ordnance disposal and emergency firefighting as examples, they explained how robots are used in hazardous and complex environments.
With guidance from staff, the students also observed and operated robots, learning about motion control, environmental perception, and human-machine collaboration. The event combined robotics outreach, product demonstrations, and hands-on practice, giving the students an opportunity to experience intelligent equipment at close range.
Since moving into Xuhui District’s “Craftsmanship Role Model” themed practice base in 2024, the Lu Qiuhong Master Craftsman Innovation Studio has continued to organize craftsmanship visits and robotics outreach activities for young people.
