A Craftsmanship Visit | Lingyun Xiaoxiaozhi Children Explore Robotics at HRSTEK
Children from Xuhui District's Lingyun Subdistrict visited HRSTEK's Lu Qiuhong Master Craftsman Innovation Studio to learn about robotics through observation, questions, and hands-on experience.

On August 7, 2026, children from Xuhui District’s Lingyun Subdistrict visited Shanghai HRSTEK Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and the Lu Qiuhong Master Craftsman Innovation Studio. The visit combined a summer volunteer activity with a craftsmanship visit, giving the children an opportunity to experience robotics, technological innovation, and the spirit of craftsmanship.
Young volunteers enter a technology workplace
Wearing their bright volunteer vests, the children gathered around the robots and observed their structures, movements, and functions.

The visit connected volunteer service, practical learning, and science outreach. The children learned how technology can serve society and support safety, while gaining a first-hand understanding of responsibility, collaboration, and dedication.

Questions, curiosity, and a robotics lesson
Can a robot walk by itself? What happens when it meets an obstacle? Which dangerous places can it enter? The children’s questions turned the visit into an engaging robotics lesson.

By explaining how robots perceive their surroundings and move through complex areas, the engineers made professional technology easier to see and understand. The children also saw how patience, careful study, repeated testing, and continued innovation express the spirit of craftsmanship.
From observation to hands-on experience
With guidance from the staff, the children continued to explore different intelligent robot products and learned about their roles in public safety and emergency response.

Through observation, practice, and conversation, the children formed an initial understanding of robotics. A short hands-on experience can open a door to future interest in science and engineering.
From Lingyun, and back to Lingyun
Lingyun Subdistrict has continued to support young people’s science literacy and the growth of new community talent. HRSTEK also remains connected to Lingyun, where the company began, and continues to support science outreach and technology education in the community.

HRSTEK will continue to use the resources, engineering experience, and innovation results of the Lu Qiuhong Master Craftsman Innovation Studio to create science outreach activities that young people can understand, join, and benefit from.
